We, at Christian Ministry Care 1, are dedicated to assisting and leading you on your path to healing. Our ministry is centered around God and was established in 2024. We provide coaching for marriage, family, and life, ensuring that you have support in overcoming all of life's obstacles. Allow us to accompany you on your journey towards recovery.

We strive to help clients overcome challenges such as marital issues, grief, and depression through personalized attention and care. Our goal is to promote healing, strengthen relationships and empower our clients to live fulfilling lives.

Dr. Wayne Penn Sr.
Dr. Wayne Penn Sr. is a native of St. Thomas, United States Virgin Islands. He is the third of seven children. He graduated from Ivanna Eudora Kean High School, enlisted in the United States Army immediately after graduating high school, and retired from the army after serving honorably for 24.5 years. Dr. Penn served in several assignments throughout his military career. He attained the rank of MSG (E-8) and received numerous awards that included the Good Conduct Medal, Army Achievement Medals, ARCOMs, and three MSMs. After he retired from the army, he became the pastor of Greater Refuge Temple Church Of God In Christ (COGIC), Columbia, SC, where he continues to serve as the senior pastor. He serves in several other positions that include, the Dean of Education for the COGIC South Carolina Jurisdiction, the Midland’s Representative for Jump Start, a non-profit prison ministry dedicated to breaking the back of recidivism, and a volunteer chaplain for the Richland County Sheriff Department.
Dr. Penn and his beautiful wife Tondra have been happily married for almost 42 years. They are the blessed parents of two sons, Wayne Jr. (Felicia) and Joshua, and two granddaughters, Kori (23), and Kami (14). He holds a Bachelor of Science in Multi-Disciplinary Studies with a concentration in Religion, Business, and Psychology from Liberty University, Lynchburg, VA, a Bachelor of Arts in Middle Level Education from the University of South Carolina (USC) Columbia, SC. He also holds a Master of Divinity from Regent University, Virginia Beach, VA, with a concentration in Pastoral Leadership and a Doctor of Ministerial Leadership from Columbia International University (CIU), Columbia, SC.
Dr. Penn enjoys spending time with his family and friends, exercising, watching sports, reading, and writing.
Tondra Penn, MA
Evangelist Penn is a native of Ocala, Florida. She joined the U. S. Army immediately after graduating high school. While in the army, she met and married her forever boyfriend, Wayne Penn Sr. of St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands. They were married on his birthday and Valentines Day, February 14, 1983. From this union, they have two sons, Wayne (Felicia), Joshua, two granddaughters, Kori, and Kami, and a host of spiritual sons and daughters.
Presently, she serves as the First Lady of Greater Refuge Temple Church Of God In Christ (COGIC) in Columbia, SC. Evangelist Penn serves in many capacities. They include President of the
South Carolina Jurisdiction Pastor's, Elder's, and Minister's Wives Circle, Praise and Worship Conductor,
Bible Study Teacher, Exhorter and Counselor. She has also conducted many revivals, women’s conferences, workshops and seminars both in the U.S. and overseas.
She has an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education, a Bachelor of Arts in Management, and a Master of Arts degree in Human Services: Marriage and Family Ministry. Evangelist Penn’s heart desire and life motivation is “To Make God Smile!”
Marcella Bristow, BA
Evangelist Marcella D. Bristow was born in Washington, D.C. and received salvation and the Baptism of the Holy Ghost at the age of 16. She and the late Superintendent Thomas N. Bristow, Jr. were united in Holy Matrimony in 1976, and this union has been blessed with two sons, a daughter, and four
grandchildren. She served in Federal Service and retired in 1997.
She was licensed as an Evangelist Missionary in March 1984 and has been serving in ministry for over 40 years, twenty of which were spent overseas in Europe. There she served alongside her husband in full-time Pastoral and Missions ministry and was appointed as a District Missionary in 1992. This
ministerial team served together until Superintendent Bristow’s transition to be with the Lord in December 2009. Evangelist Bristow subsequently returned to live in the United States and is a member of Greater Refuge Temple Church Of God In Christ (COGIC), Columbia, SC. Since 2010, she has and continues to serve as the Church Mother and President of the Women’s Department under the anointed leadership of Pastor Wayne Penn, Sr. She also serves in the South Carolina Jurisdiction, COGIC as the District Missionary of the Capitol District, and as the Region Three Prayer Team Leader of the South Carolina Jurisdiction. Evangelist Bristow is a graduate of Regent University, Virginia Beach, VA with a Bachelor of Arts. in Christian Ministry.
